The Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists is seeking a special person for a vital leadership and administrative position, and one of the most interesting jobs in the optical industry.

The Executive Director operates the Association on behalf of the ACBO Members and Board. ACBO has over 300 Australian and international members. The College provides education and other important services to develop this growing and important area of optometry special interest.

​

The Executive Director is responsible for the College strategy and operations, and ACBO is involved in both local and international activity, with extended interests in Canada, North America and SE Asia.

​

This role requires a person with strong administrative skills, an entrepreneurial approach, excellent networking and relationship management, and a passion to match the enthusiasm of the Members who make up the College. There are many opportunities and challenges in this exciting role. 

​

The successful candidate could come from many different backgrounds. Knowledge of the optical industry and optometry would be helpful, but astute management capability and a desire to be successful in a fascinating role with a strong ethical and community value element is essential.
